Reflection of the Past (Gongshi/Scholar's Rock Sculpt)

One of the main reasons I called this piece "Reflection of the Past" was that my previous study was in illustration and my previous job was being a gallery attendant (essentially a type of security guard) at my local museum. So I wanted to combine my past experiences into this work. My local museum has a collection of scholars' rocks and was also part of my inspiration for creating this work. So this piece was meant to reflect on my past and showcase my perspective within this piece. Another reason for this was to try challenging myself by sculpting a rock to practice more organic modeling. As well as trying to create more realistic material reads when texturing.
